Blue Coat Chambers, School Lane
Image details
The Blue Coat Chambers was the first incarnation of the school which later moved to Wavertree. From the middle of the 20th century this building, the oldest in the city centre, was reinvented as an arts centre. In the foreground we see the churchyard of St Peter's Church, from which Church Street gets its name. A man sits on a bench here, head resting on his fist.
